 These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

By using our services you agree to The Tanning Room Terms & Conditions 

FREE SACHET

  • If you buy a sachet and then in the same visit to the salon you buy a bottle of the same cream, we will deduct the price of the sachet from the price of the bottle of cream
  • This offer can only be used once with the cream purchased. Future purchases of the same sachet will not be eligible for deduction from a new bottle 

MINUTES, BUNDLES & COMBINATION BUNDLES

  • 24hr notice is required to cancel a booking otherwise the booked minutes will be deducted from your bundle.
  • All tanning minutes are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any other products or services.
  • For health & safety reasons minutes/bundles cannot be shared.
  • Bundle minutes have a 12 month expiry from date of purchase.
  • Maximum amount of UV exposure time per 24 hours is dependent upon skin type.

COLLAGEN LIGHT THERAPY PACKAGES

  • 24-hour notice is required to cancel a booking otherwise the booked Collagen Light Therapy minutes will be deducted from your package.
  • All Collagen Light Therapy minutes are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for any other products or services.
  • For health & safety reasons Collagen Light Therapy minutes cannot be shared.
  • Collagen Light Therapy packages have a 12 month expiry from date of purchase (Excluding the unlimited package).
  • Unlimited Collagen red light therapy package expire after 28 days. Full payment for the full 4 weeks (28 days) is required upfront – £40. No contractual obligation, to re purchase your unlimited package you must do this in salon or over the phone. Unlimited RLT packages cannot be extended or paused. 

PROOF OF AGE

  • UV tanning is only available to persons who are over the age of 18 and you may be asked for proof of age. This will in the form of a driving licence, military ID card,  passport or birth certificate. Photocopies will not be accepted.

SPRAY TANS

  • A £10 deposit is required when booking a spray tan.
  • A patch test must be completed at least one day before the application to ensure skin suitability.
  • Please note that 24-hour notice is required to cancel a booking otherwise the deposit is non-refundable.

OFFERS AND DISCOUNTS

  • If you cannot visit the salon during the promotional period, deals can be purchased by phone by credit/debit card from our salons.
  • Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotions or discounts.
  • Offers are only valid during the times and dates advertised and during Carterton, Cirencester, Swindon & Witney salon opening hours.
  • We reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time.

REFER A FRIEND OFFER

  • Extra minutes apply to the first purchase from referred friends only. For this offer to be valid the bundle must also be purchased on the first visit.

NEW CLIENT WELCOME BONUS

  • Extra minutes apply to the first purchase as a new client only. For this offer to be valid the bundle must also be purchased on the first visit.

ACCELERATOR CREAMS

  • For health & safety reasons we advise that creams MUST be used from 12 months of opening or they MUST be disposed of.
  • We reserve the right to refuse the use of our beds if tanning creams that have not been approved by the Tanning Room are used.
  • For health & safety reasons all creams and lotions purchased from the Tanning Room are non-refundable.

GIFT VOUCHERS

  • Gift vouchers must be redeemed within 3 months from the purchase date.
  • Gift vouchers can only be redeemed in full

CUSTOMER GUIDANCE

  • All Tanning Room Bundles are non-transferable & nonrefundable due to company policy and to protect the purchases and interests of our customers. Customers cannot use each other’s minutes, if it has been found customers have used other customers’ minutes both customers may result in their bundle minutes being deducted.
  • A photo is needed of each customer for their account for security reasons.
  • Walk in Tanning Minutes & Bundle Minutes are separate services; you cannot top up your bundle or combine them with pay-as-you-go minutes due to them being different services with different costs.
  • Customers cannot use a sunbed within 24 hours of their last due to legislation set out by the government and the sunbed association.
  • All our tanning tubes are 0.3 compliant due to government legislation, factually meaning they are safer than the sun’s UV rays.
  • If a customer chooses not to follow the safe/responsible tanning given by the member of staff, they may be refused to use a sunbed.
  • Customers cannot use any lotions or moisturizers that are not specially designed for indoor tanning or SPF creams on our sunbeds, due to these creams damaging our sunbed acrylics These creams will also block your tan due to the ingredients not being suitable for indoor tanning. Therefore, you may be asked what cream you are using, and you must show the member of staff at the front desk.
  • If customers have a lotion that is not allowed on our sunbeds the member of staff will ask to keep it behind the desk and the customer can collect it after their session. If a customer refuses to show the cream or hand it over to the member of staff, you will be refused access to the sunbed.
  • Strictly no under 18s in salon waiting areas or sunbed rooms (except for a scheduled beauty, spray tan or collagen treatment, but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian), due to legal reasons. If customers do come into the store with any under 18s you may be asked to leave.
  • Challenge 21, customers may be asked for ID. If you’re lucky enough to look under 21. If you fail to provide suitable ID, you will be refused service/to go on a sunbed this is due to legal reasons, and it is the law under 18s are not allowed on sunbeds.
  • Customers must show proof of ID on sign-up due to GDPR reasons. If you fail to show ID, this may result in refusal of service.
  • Customers are not allowed in the same rooms as each other or have anyone wait with them in the rooms, due to health & safety reasons.
  • The Tanning Room does not tolerate any rudeness to staff, customers will be asked to leave, or the police may be called under the 1989 Public Offense Act, if they are being rude or threatening to a member of our staff, this may result in them not being welcome to return.
  • If a customer steals from any of our salons the police will be notified and the situation will be handled accordingly, the customer will also be banned from the use of our services.
  • All our salons are equipped with CCTV which records imagery and audio.
  • Customers cannot use staff/salon toilets due to insurance & staff safety reasons.
  • If a customer does not show up for a pre-booked sunbed appointment or cancels under 24 hours of their booking, the scheduled minutes for their session will be deducted from their account as this time slot will not be available for other customers, which may result in turning away custom.
  • Bottles of lotions used after purchase cannot be refunded due to health & sanitary reasons.
  • If customers are in any way inappropriate (sexually, verbally) towards Tanning Room staff members they will be banned from entering any of our stores in the future.
  • Spray tan appointments/beauty appointments require a £10 deposit.
  • All spray tan/beauty appointments cancelled under 48 hours without good reason will lose their £10 deposit. 
  • The Tanning Room gift cards have a 3-month expiry from the date of purchase.
  • Offers may have different terms and conditions which can be found on the website at the time of the offer.
  • The Tanning Room is not responsible for any loss of personal items on our premises.
  • Opening times & days may change in different months of the year due to demand for our services.
  • Pre-booking an appointment online secures the customer’s sunbed booking however The Tanning Room cannot always guarantee that the customer will get on the sunbed at the booked time, due to the time staff need to thoroughly clean the sunbed for the next customer’s use and the potential backlog of time customers create getting out of the room from the previous appointment. Our staff members always try their best to ensure customers’ appointment times are met and things run smoothly.
  • If a customer arrives sunburnt from overexposure outside, they may be refused service for health and safety reasons.
