Red Light Therapy — also known as photobiomodulation (PBM) or low-level light therapy (LLLT) — uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light, typically between 630nm and 850nm, to penetrate deep into your skin and cells. It's completely safe, natural, and non-invasive — with zero UV exposure.
Our Collarium® Mon Amie
State-of-the-art red light therapy bed with smart skin sensor technology
When red and near-infrared light is absorbed by your cells, it stimulates the mitochondria — the powerhouses of every cell in your body — to produce more adenosine triphosphate (ATP).
ATP is the fuel your cells need to carry out all their functions: regeneration, healing, collagen production, and fighting inflammation. More ATP means your cells work harder, faster, and more efficiently — accelerating your body's natural repair processes.
Unlike UV tanning, red light therapy is completely non-invasive with no harmful side effects. It doesn't damage your skin — it heals it. That's why it's trusted by dermatologists, physiotherapists, and professional athletes worldwide.
From anti-ageing to pain relief, the benefits are backed by thousands of clinical studies.
Stimulates collagen and elastin production at the cellular level. Reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. Improves skin tone, texture, and firmness. Minimises pore size and evens out pigmentation.
Clinical evidence: A 2014 study in Photomedicine and Laser Surgery found participants showed significantly improved skin complexion and increased collagen density after 30 sessions.
Accelerates muscle repair after exercise. Reduces delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS). Increases blood flow and oxygen delivery to tissues. Enhances athletic performance and endurance.
Used by: Premier League footballers, Olympic athletes, and professional sports teams worldwide for faster recovery between training sessions.
Supports natural melatonin production for deeper, more restful sleep. Helps regulate your circadian rhythm. Shown to reduce symptoms of seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and improve overall mood and energy levels.
How: Unlike blue light from screens which disrupts sleep, red light wavelengths support your body's natural sleep-wake cycle.
Reduces chronic pain and joint stiffness. Decreases inflammation at the cellular level. Effective for arthritis, back pain, and fibromyalgia. Accelerates wound healing and tissue repair.
Clinical evidence: A systematic review in The Lancet confirmed that red light therapy significantly reduces pain and disability in musculoskeletal conditions.

Is red light therapy safe?
Absolutely. Red light therapy is completely non-invasive and has been extensively studied in over 5,000 peer-reviewed clinical trials. It uses no UV light, no chemicals, and has no known harmful side effects. It's safe for all skin types and suitable for regular use.
How quickly will I see results?
Many clients notice an immediate glow and sense of relaxation after their very first session. For lasting skin improvements like reduced wrinkles and improved tone, most people see noticeable results within 4–6 sessions. For pain and recovery benefits, improvements are often felt within 2–3 sessions.
How often should I have sessions?
For best results, we recommend 3–4 sessions per week for the first 4–6 weeks, then 2–3 sessions per week for maintenance. Each session lasts just 12–24 minutes, making it easy to fit into your routine.
What should I wear during a session?
For maximum benefit, expose as much skin as possible to the light. Most clients wear minimal clothing or swimwear. We provide a private, comfortable environment for your session. Always use a PH Balancing Hybid Lotion
Can I combine it with UV tanning?
Yes! Red light therapy actually complements UV tanning beautifully. The collagen-boosting benefits help maintain healthy, youthful skin. Many of our clients combine both services. We recommend doing your red light session before UV tanning for the best results.
Is there anyone who shouldn't use red light therapy?
Red light therapy is safe for the vast majority of people. However, if you're pregnant, have epilepsy, are taking photosensitising medications, or have an active cancer diagnosis, please consult your doctor before starting sessions. Our team is always happy to discuss any concerns.
How is this different from a sunbed?
Completely different! Sunbeds use UV light to tan your skin. Red light therapy uses non-UV wavelengths (630–850nm) that don't tan you at all — instead, they penetrate your cells to boost collagen, reduce inflammation, and accelerate healing. Think of it as healing light rather than tanning light.
